Itunes not recognising IPhone on WIndows 7 64bit

I've had some major issues since the latest ITunes update. No matter what i do, ITunes just will not see my IPhone.

These are the steps i have taken, in various order, on multiple occasions
Removed, Re-installed ITunes
Removed USB stuff as descibed in the KB Article
Tried Different USB Ports
Different USB Cables
Put the Phone into Recovery Mode
Put the Phone into DFU Mode
removed, Re-installed Itunes.
Created seperate Admin account and tried installing ITunes from there

The PC Itself can see the IPhone under my computer, and i'm able to take pics and trasfer etc. But nothing i'm doing will get it seen by ITunes.

Oh, one more thing, I also have an old laptop running XP sp2 32bit... Installed itunes, connected IPhone, and picked it up first time every time.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi

i am having the exact same problem, im currently on hold to apple care (this is my 3rd call)
as yet i am unable to use my new i phone, and my husband can no longer do anything to his 4 month old i phone 4.

I have followed all of those steps above, stopped and restarted bonjour, deleted all temps folders, and i work in the mobile phone industry so i know what im doing!

i have now been told to sign out of my apple account and create a new one in case the old one is corrupted in some way.

My own view would be that the new i tunes for windows 7 64 bit is seriously flawed. My i phone can be detected in a laptop running windows XP and 32 bit.

i am currently paying £60 a month for what is essentially a flashy brick.

I am also having the same problem, Itunes doesn`t recognise IPhone 4G.
Since I`m having this Iphone 4G I`ve updated the Itunes for Windows 7, version 10.1.1 and only once Itunes recognised my Iphone 4G.
I`ve tryed to reinstall it and also did the thing with the device manager-portable devices-updated the driver...and my computer only sees MTP USB Device.
please help me...I would really like to resolve this problem!

Been on the phone to Apple now for 2 days, been through everything, although the issue hasn't been fixed and its currently being escelated to engineering (they've admitted its an issue with Windows 7) but i have been getting regular apologetic phonecalls from customer service telling me theyre doing all they can to get this resolved.

What they did tell me, which i wasn't aware of (this didn't work for me either btw) is that ITunes has to be uninstalled in a specific order

1.iTunes
2.QuickTime
3.Apple Software Update
4.Apple Mobile Device Support
5.Bonjour
6.Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

Again, didn't work for me, but something definatley to remember..

BTW, i was also asked to install Itunes 9 and follow the upgrade path, as ITunes 9 is validated!!! (Again, didn't work)

hi

i've been having the same problem. spoken to online support, they made appointment for genius bar, tech guy seemed to know his stuff but this issue was unknown to him. they agreed to give me a knew phone, eventually told me on day to when i returned that they had exhausted everything and that it was a pc software issue. possibly i should think about getting a mac or using another laptop! they also said that iphone works fine on mac but that there are som many versions of windows that it was difficult to keep up.

handing out replacement iphones and tech guys not know that there is a problem with windows 7 surely isn't good for business

apple support... can you address this problem asap please. i have restricted use and would like to get the full benefit of using my iphone 4

thanks

ps word of mouth is a powerful. the number of people who are concerned about updating to iphone is growing and i've not been able to recommend

In a sickening manner, I'm glad I'm not alone! For a moment I thought it was a hardware problem of my iPhone4.

I've done everything mentioned above (re-install iTunes, used different USB ports, put into Recovery Mode, Reinstalled Itunes, etc. etc.). The PC is able to see IPhone though.

Is there a resolution to this yet? I noticed it's mostly affecting Win7, as I'm able to see the phone on an XP machine.
