NSURLErrorDomain: -1205, what is it?

Hi all,

I am trying to connect to a webmail service (Squirrelmail, but I think it does not matter) and upon sending an https://internal.xxx.xxx/webmail I do get an error message „client certificate rejected“ NSURLErrorDomain:-1205. Server is running Linux and I tried to delete the certificate, reload the page, had a look at the certificate and accepted it.

What can be the reason?

PB G4 15, Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Sounds to me the security certificate on the security server doesn't match one which the browser can recognize. This is a problem with the security of the server you are attempting to access. If they don't update their security certificates, some browsers may reject them. I'd contact the server administrator.

I would definitely submit bug to Apple using the Safari menu feature for that. Any website that doesn't browse correctly in Safari though is probably not fully w3.org compliant and I would contact the webmaster asking them to become.

There appears to be a problem how Safari treats Security certificates.

As a workaround I switched to Firefox, which does not show the problem.

There seems to be no solution to the problem, so I switched to Firefox for the sites in question.

I hope this issue will be resolved by development sometimes.
