change package to folder

How would having that package as a folder make it easier to "put pictures in it"? Leave it alone and use iPhoto to do that. If you try to do anything else, you may destroy the ability of iPhoto to work with it.

It's not his iPhoto Library. It is his Pictures folder. It should be a folder.

For a friendly way to clear the "bundle bit", download [Path Finder|http://www.cocoatech.com>, navigate to the Pictures folder from within Path Finder, then File Menu>Get Info. If the "Bundle Bit" box is checked, uncheck it:
