Have you followed these Apple instructions?
http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/find-my-ipodtouch-setup/iMac 27 (11,3), iMac 21.5 (10,1), MacMini (3,1), iPod Touch, Mac OS X (10.6.5)
I've noticed the same issue and have followed those instructions at http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/find-my-ipodtouch-setup/
Upon selecting TOS just after step 4 (i.e. enter Apple ID and was prompted to accept new TOS) I was bounced back to the home screen. The MobileMe account listed in step 5 does not appear.Windows 7
Try this..click on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" then "Add Account" and the "Mobile me" should be listed there. Just click on that and then set it up from there.
Hope that helps and answers what you were asking.
You might try clicking on the "Find iPhone" app icon and logging in on there too. i just set mine up and it seemed like I had to do a couple different things and go the long way around before I could find the "mobile Me" option. I also synced my ipod after i got it downloaded, don't know if that did anything or not.
Currently Being ModeratedDec 30, 2010 9:04 AM (in response to Christian Super)All -- I may have found the issue. It appears that there is a missing password strength screen. For your Apple ID to work with Mobile Me and the Find my Ipod app, make sure that your Apple ID password:
* Is at least 9 characters
* Has at least one number
* Has at least one capital letter and one small letter
Changing this worked for me on two devices.iMac (Late 2009) 21.5-inch: 3.06GHz, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
