How to change Apple ID on iPad?

Hi, I'm trying to update two apps, drop box and gmail. However when I tried it brings a different apple id that I believe my daughter set up. How can I change it so I can type my apple I'd and pw? I have an ipad 2.

I have been tearing my hair out over this. My Apple ID was correct at iTunes,etc.

But my IPAd kept bringing up my old ID and I couldn't access my account .

Go to settings - select iTunes & App Store - click on your id at the top and sign out - sign in with your new id and password.

I have a question. I recently had my iPhone stolen. On that Apple ID I also had my iPad. I now have a new phone and decided to create a new Apple ID (I feel safer this way). My question is, can I simply change Apple ID info on my iPad to the new one and everything will work fine (and will not be connected to the old one in any way) or is it better to erase everything and set up as a new device? I don't have that many apps on my iPad and the only ones that are ''purchased'' are Keynote, Numbers and Pages (obviously they were free but now I'd have to pay for them). I don't even use these. But I would still want to keep everything as it is, I just don't want any link to the old Apple ID, because it is associated with a stolen device. I hope you understand. Can anybody answer this for me or is it better to call Apple and see what they can do?
