Jan 31, 2012 12:33 PM in response to Chris CAby Brooklyn12,Ok, so won't my daughter actually have to reset her apple ID since all my things are associated with her apple ID? Actually we would both have to reset it....? Right? iTunes really has to come up with a better solution to this frustrating and inconvenient problem.

Dunno. Why would she have to reset anything?
"since all my things are associated with her apple ID?"
And they will continue to be associated with the account they were purchased with.
"Actually we would both have to reset it....? Right?"
Dunno why either of you would need to reset anything.

Jan 31, 2012 7:26 PM in response to Brooklyn12by Mandy carvery,I think your daughter should change her email I'd to your email. So the items on the device will be yours. Then she can create her own new one fr her new device.
If there are items she needs as well? I'm really not sure but I hope this helps, don't give up. Lots of people on here have the answers.

Jan 31, 2012 8:15 PM in response to Chris CAby Brooklyn12,Thank you Mandy, i think if she were to do that, she'd get a prompt stating there is an email address associated with an iTunes account. Chris, not all my iTunes music was purchased from ITunes. I have music that was downloaded onto my PC from CD's many of which I no longer have. Somehow my daughters email address was associated with my iPad. I deleted the iPad device from her iTunes account and now it wont allow me to place my iPad under my iTunes account. It's so ridiculous and frustrating. Can't contact them by phone, it's just emails back and forth and according to them the only way to resolve this is to restore my iPad.

I guess I'm confused.
How do you place an iPad under an iTunes account?

Feb 1, 2012 4:53 AM in response to Chris CAby Brooklyn12,Good question, I have no idea. When I received the iPad and connected it to my home computer which both my daughter and I use, it somehow connected her account with my iPad. However, I don't have any of her personal things. It's gotta be a system issue with ITunes. We removed the iPad under her account in the manage devices, now I have to wait 90 days before my account can add the iPad to my iTunes account, Ridiculous! They're only fix is for me to restore my IPad.

Feb 4, 2012 12:33 PM in response to Bobliegby Brooklyn12,I've signed in and out numerous times, even signed out shut down the iPad, rebooted and went back in, it doesn't work. I removed my iPad under devices on my computer which was listed under my daughters Itunes account and cannot add it to my account for 90 days because iTunes does not recognize it as an existing account and all new changes such as email there is a 90 day wait period. Absolutely Ridiculous and Frustrating! Especially since the only way to correspond is through email.

Feb 15, 2012 1:48 PM in response to SweetPoison54by richiedicks, seems that i have a similar problem in that all apps that i either purchased or downloaded using an old appleID require me to enter a password for the old appleID which simply does not exisit anymore. I am therefore unable to update any of my old apps that are on my iphone, ipad and mac.
does that make sense and does anyone have a solution?
i guess i could try deleting my apps and starting again but i suspect i would have to pay again too...i did and it works but at a cost to me.
please help...
