iPod Touch A/V Composite adapter. Will it work with Applications?

I have been interested in buying one of Apple's A/V Composite adapters for my iPod Touch for a while now, and I've been wondering if it is also compatible with Applications with my iPod Touch. I would sure love to play Infinity Blade on my new Television set, included with surround sound.
