How to add Cover Art to WAV. Decision

Well, I had bought Ipod classic 1,5 year ago, then I recommended to buy my sister Ipod, also just yesterday I bought ipod Touch 4 for present.. So I can say that I have some serious complain to Apple for support and programming. I had chosen Ipod Classic because it has WAV support and quite big hard drive – very perfect choice for my needs. I and everybody I now prefer WAV because of quality and easy use everywhere. But I’m very disappointment that I’Tunes don’t have Cover support. Also I now that WAV itself just doesn’t have any possibility of any TAG and Cover info to be put inside. But every Apple Ipod has very useful folder inside – AlbumArt. So as I know sometimes for some WAVE iTunes put Art inside that folder, that is perfect. But users can’t put it manually.

Just use j river Media Center to put Art to Wav. MC adding Art to WAV inside of AlbumArt folder inside iPod. But do not synchronize it with iTunes - will be deleted. Modern MC not often work since they use more iTunes. It is better to use MC 13.
Sadly, that tech war between Apple and Jriver ends for MC. And team just tired of develop support any changed Apple stuff. So iPod Touch not support. But they also have that folder inside – AlbumArt! It will be perfect that anyone make special prog to adding there Art for WAV. The problem is not for WAV or TAG info – the problem seems political. Just to put Cover inside THAT folder… We should ask it to Apple team..

The problem is with the other 1/4. I can find it easilly but when I try to drag and drop, I get the gibberish message 'artwork no modifiable' from iTunes...as there is no artwork to modify, how does one get past this arbitrary block so one can post art from other sources like Amazon?

You cannot add artwork to a WAV file. I'm certain that information has already been posted into this thread, but as you'll notice, it's not here now. Quite why anyone would have a post deleted simply because it explained a simple un-alterable fact, I don't know.

If the .wav album title is correctly matched in the iTunes Store then the artwork is placed somewhere in the *Album Artwork\Download* folders. Unfortuantly there is no mechanism to manually add artwork from other sources into the download folders, so in general you can't add artwork to .wav tracks. Embedded artwork is also stored in the *Album Artwork\Cache* folders to assist with artwork disply in iTunes. The library's artwork caches are then used to populate the artwork cache on the iPod when tracks are transfered.
