Can't access App Store or ITunes

I have the same problem. I've successfully downloaded music from my iTunes account on the computer and synced them but cannot access the internet. It is asking for a password and I don't know what to enter.

Try to see if your "really" connected to the internet. Try to go into Safari and load a webpage. If it's not loading or gives an error, that means your connecting to wi-fi, but not necessarily connected or using it.

I too have just got the new G4 Ipod touch for Xmas and nothing I do seems to get it up and running. I managed to get the icons up for about 2 hours, played one song, then an apple update 4.2.1 I think. I am now stuck in settings and cannont get out. Cannot play music, cannot get any apps. Can anyone help me as I am new to all of this. Many Thanks...

Have you tried a reset? Press the power button and the home button at the same time and you should see "slide to power down", but keep on holding it and it should shut down and turn itself back on. At this point, you can let go.
