Deleting Music and Videos from the iPad

Downloaded my entire iTunes to the Mrs.' new iPad; however, half the music and most every video are not to her liking and she would like to delete from her iPad - would like to keep her happy but have no idea how to delete the tunes/videos (in fact, don't know how to delete anything!)
Please help
Thanks

Hi,

Tap the iPod icon in your Home screen.. Select the artist on the left for the song you want to delete. Now tap the Edit button on the right side of the window.

You'll see red circles with a white horizontal line next to each song for that artist. Tap the red circle adjacent to the song you want to delete. Tap Delete.

To delete videos, tap the Video icon on your iPad screen. Tap and hold your finger down on the video(s) you want to delete. Tap the white circle with the x to delete the video.
