My daughter just got a zaggmate which started out great but now after working all morning it won't charge or power-up. The charge indicator light comes on when plugged in only if the power button is in the on position but the unit won't connect or show any signs of life away from the power cord. Has anyone else had similar issues or know of a fix?

    I have one. It comes with a 1-year warranty. I have found the ZAGG personnel to be exceptionally responsive. Go to their web site and leave a message.

    in order to get the keyboard to connect to the ipad, you need to press the "bluetooth" button on the keyboard.

    That's needed only the first time that you use the keyboard. Afterwards, it remembers the pairing.

    You only have to type in the keyboard code once. But if you turn bluetooth off on your ipad and try to reconnect your keyboard later, it wont connect unless you press the bluetooth button on your keyboard AND while the "pink/red" status light is on, you also have to press the Zaggmate(listed under devices) on the screen of your ipad in order to get it to connect.

    That's not the way mine works. I just turn BT back on, tap Zaggmate in the BT settings and it connects. I don't have to re-pair the keyboard.

    Sorry you are having issues. It sounds like you are having pairing issues. The newer iPad software helps dramatically. I'd recommend updating your iPad software and re-pair your ZAGGmate. We have detailed instructions at the bottom of our FAQ section. Please follow those steps. If this doesn't solve your problem, please call our Customer Support team or email them.
