Sort Address Book by Zip Code

I CAN'T find an answer to sorting Address Book by Zip Code.
We would like to print Address Book mailing lables out in zip code order for US Post Office Bulk Mail. They require all bulk mailings are in zip code order.
It would be a real pain to sort 1,000's of contacts by hand for a bulk mailing.
Thanks for any help!
Ron

If you need to print out all the addresses at once, you can have them print in zip code order

1.) Select File > Print
2.) In the "Style" drop box, select "Mailing Labels", the options will change
3.) Select the type of label you are using
4.) Click on the "Label" button
5.) Make sure the "Print in" drop box is set to "Postal Code Order"
6.) Click the "Print" button

If you need a specific zip code and only that zip code (or a set of zip codes, that works too), do the following:

1.) Create a new group by clicking the "+" button below the Groups column
2.) Name this group "Zip Code Sort Results"
3.) Select File > New Smart Group
4.) Name the smart group "Zip Code Sort"
5.) Change the first drop box to Other > Zip
6.) Enter the first digits of the zip code you would like to print (anything from the first digit to all 9)
7.) Make sure the "Zip Code Sort" Smart Group is selected
8.) Select one of the names in the "Name" column (it doesn't matter which one, but the first name on the list is always good)
9.) Select all the names by tapping Command-A (the Apple logo key)
10.) Click and drag the contacts to the group named "Zip Code Sort Results"
11.) Click on the group name "Zip Code Sort Results" to select it (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Skipping this step will only show a blank page in the preview and WILL NOT PRINT)
12.) Follow the printing proceedure at the begining of this post, but add the following step below step 4:
4a.) Change the "Addresses" drop box to "Distribution List (Zip Code Sort Results)"

Let me know if this helps. 🙂
