wifi connected ? but wont load apps page

I have manually changed the IP address on the Static tab, but when I choose app store or itunes on the itouch, it just says "loading" with the circle spinning beside it. Nothing else ever happens. I want to be able to walk around the house and access the internet. Please help.

i'm having the same problem except it does that for other things as well. Sometime it will load the app store, i install the ibook, it comes up as waiting then eventually stops after saying "can't connect to itunes store, but right after that i hit the itunes icon and it comes up no problem
