Help in moving iMovie Event Library to an external HD

I'm trying to move everything from my iMovie '11 library from my computer to my External HD. I have managed to move all my projects by holding down the command key and dragging them to the external HD icon but that process doesn't work on the EVENT library. How is this done?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

What exactly does/doesn't happen.

FYI: This is neither an iTunes or an iMovie question since you are doing this in the Finder.

If it's the same as iMovie09 - I did it like this:

From inside the events browser in iMovie, select the disc icon along the edge - to make sure you can see events sorted by drive. Command-click on the events you want to move (you have to click on the event name - not the group), release the command button and drag the files to the new drive - then press the command button again before releasing the mouse button.

Oops - just noticed the date - I was thinking this was a few days old, not a few years and a few days!
