Do I need a MobileMe account?

Hello,

I Made my web site using iWeb '08. If I let my MobileMe account expire, will my web site go away? Or, will it continue to exist without me being able to access/edit it? Don't know why I don't know this but I don't. Thanks in advance.

If you published it to MobileMe, the copy of it on the MobileMe servers will disappear. Otherwise, no.

My next question is, is there a tutorial anywhere that explains how to go about switching hosting from MobileMe to, say, GoDaddy or other?

The main difference is that you publish your website to a local folder and upload it using an FTP application. Some info here....
