Ipod touch not playing music in docking station

The Ipod touch (4th generation) does not play music in the sony dream machine ICF-CS10iP. It charges but does not play music through the docking station. The music just comes out through the ipod itself. We just got it yesterday and my daughter thinks it worked yesterday. I am not sure, maybe she's mistaken as it is strange that it just would stop the next day. The docking station works with the nano and the ipod touch seems fine otherwise.

I've been having the same issue. It worked beautifully for 6 weeks then quit, and I'm not sure what caused this. I thought it was the Sony, so took it back to Target, they exchanged it, but the ipod still doesn't play through the speakers. I have reset the Ipod touch (2nd gen. 4.2.1) and updated Itunes. Any other suggestions?

I am having the same exact problem with my iPod and Dream Machine. Your daughter wasn't mistaken, as I have had my dock for almost a year now, I was very disappointed when I just stopped playing music from my iPod. I am curious, how did you reset the iPod? Restore through iTunes or hard reset with the iPod only? It stopped playing through the dock just after I downloaded the 4.3.3 software version.
