IMac 24" brown patches on LCD SCreen

My iMac 24" has had three screens replaced since I bought it in May 2009. Dark brown patches appear and get darker in random areas of the screen. Since I am a photographer, it is a serious problem. The last replacement was only 5 weeks ago. Have many others experienced this issue ?

On a third replacement, I recommend asking for a replacement computer. Mention it has been for the same issue. Indicate how important even backlighting is for you. Remember, there is some glare in the display, make sure there is no light from behind or above you that might be filtering into the computer's screen. LaCie and other companies make light hoods for all sorts of displays. You may also want to get a second display with a light hood.
