Can Apple make a landline phone

Question

Can Apple make a landline phone

If Apple could make a good landline phone that was itunes synced like the iphone, we wouldn't have all the trouble of caller display probs with other makes of Phones. Address book would just show up like my iphone. Have Apple ever thought of making a line line phone?

Macbook Pro and an IMac, Tiger, Mac OS X (10.6.4), iphone 32G, 3gs, ipod classic 08, ipod shuffle 4th gen, external Freecom drive

You would have to ask Apple such a question. We are all iphone users like you.

I would guess that they have thought of a lot of things, but as landlines are becoming less and less prevalent, it would seem to be a diminishing market and likely not a good use of R&D $.

I'm sure Apple could make a landline phone if they wanted, but we have no way if knowing whether it is something they have ever considered or would do in the future. Personally, I doubt they would.

However, you can already get landline phones that sync with computers. I have a Siemens DECT phone that syncs with my Mac. Never had a problem with Caller ID.

I've never had a problem with caller ID and haven't had a landline phone in almost 13 years.

Maybe the reason you've not had caller ID problems with a landline phone is because you've not had a landline phone for almost 13 years then? Just a thought...
