Facetime Issues with 4th Gen iTouch- Solved!!!!

I want to thank the suggestion to change the DNS server! After two restores, three changed passwords, the only thing that worked was changing the DNS server to

go to settings > WiFi> DNS and copy:

8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4

exactly as written into the DNS field

Worked for both itouches!!

Mac

Where do you go to do this?

You do this in Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap the User uploaded file to the right of your Network's name and enter the info in red below EXACTLY into the "DNS" line.

Even before the busy Xmas eve/day activation period, one thing that has helped many users is changing the iPod's DNS numbers to Google's 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4

For iPhone users, menus may not be exactly the same, but the DNS will be the same and will be configurable somewhere within your settings.

you have a comma in there...

The comma separates the primary and secondary DNS alternatives.
