How do I update my pics from my phone to compute? when I sync it,it doesnt give me the option and doesnt do it automatically. Please help it driving me mad!!
Have you read the manual?
Photos in the camera roll do not sync via iTunes. Based on your computer (which you didn't tell us type) you take them off as you would any other digital camera. The camera roll shows up as a digital camera to your computer so you take them off based on what photo management software you have or you can browse to it and just copy off.
Thanks DavBman for the info. I also was looking for the way to upload my pictures from my iPhone, and yes I have read the manual. By the way, that comment, "have you read the manuel?" was not neccessary and a bit offensive in my oppinion. I've gone through the manual and couldn't find where it describes the way to upload pictures. Can you indicate where that would be?
Syncing with iPhoto should do the trick. Connect your phone, click on your phone in iTunes. Under the "photos" tab at the top are you sync settings for syncing with iPhoto or Aperture.
The manual says the same thing I mentioned. To use what ever method you normally use for any other digital camera.
When you plug in the phone does your computer pop up saying something about what do you wish to do with one of the options being the Camera/Scanner Wizard? If so, you can use that. Or you can just browse to it via My Computer and the iPhone is listed as a camera like any other camera would be.
Then you can just copy and paste files off like normal files.
Some people use photo management software like Picasa or something thus the reason it just acts as a digital camera as far as your computer sees as there is a standard to programs such as Picasa can see it and take off photos and manage them.
This is why there is not finite unstructions, it only states follow the instructions your photo software gives you, if you don't use any, then Windows by default has it's Camera/Scanner wizard built in that will take over.
I found the best solution is to use Picasa - it immediately downloads photos from the iPhone without syncing, which is the problem when using iTunes/iPhoto.
