No App Store on ipod Touch 1st generation.

on christmas i recieved an ipod touch 1g. when i turned it on i realized i didnt have the app store. i connected it to my computer and registered it and everything and updated it. it updated it to 1.1.5 and i still didnt have the app store. is there any way i can upgrade the software to get the app store?

Your iPod Touch will need at least OS version 2.0 or later in order to sync and download Apps to it. See this article about updating to version 3.1

thanks so much, i updated it and now the load screen is frozen. its been almost an hour. should i connect it to my computer again?

I had the same problem and spent DAYS looking for a way to download the app...go to settings --> look between photos and mail, contacts, calender --> you should find STORE, if you have 3.1
