I've been having issues installing Adobe Flash Player 10.1 for my mac. I have a MacBook Pro 13" that I just received for Christmas. Basically, I go to Adobe.com, download the instillation, and when I try to install, it gets to about 5% and then says "Instillation Failed" and no more. What could the issue be? I've searched for hours on end and could not find anything. Adobe charges $40 to call them for problems, so I wasn't about to do that. Any idea what the problem could be? I posted here since it's part of the internet and all.
Make certain you have enough free disk space available. Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you always have a minimum of 15% free disk space.
Thank you,
Unfortunately, I have already tried the troubleshooting page to no avail. I do not have any antivirus software installed, since I have received the Mac brand new and haven't touched it. It also cannot be the space issue, as I have only used a few GB's of space. Any other idea what the issue may be? I really haven't done anything to this computer at all. I have tried trashing the flash instillation file and re-downloading the file only to get to about 34% and then fail again. I also tried doing some thing where I stopped the dashboard and dock. Don't remember exactly what it was but I used but I had gone into Activity Monitor to do it. I also tried reinstalling safari but that did nothing. What could it be?
