Forgotten login password to iPad

Hi,

I brought my son an iPad for Christmas - well Santa did, but he changed his password on it last night, and cannot remember it, so he can't get into it.

Is there anyway we can reset his password?

You have to restore the iPad via iTunes but first, per the Users Guide, you have to delete the backup. If the passcode is not in the backup I would make a copy of the backup and then delete it from its current location. That way after you restore it to factory defaults you should be able to copy the backup file to its original location and restore from backup. You can find the location of the backup file here:
