Delete or Edit an iCal event on my iPad

Hi,

Is this possible? I don't seem to have an Edit option on the Event(s) just a Details option.

Thanks,
Nicola

The Details button appears on events in Subscription calandars, which can't be edited on the iPad. You get an Edit button on events in regular, synced, non-subscribed calendars.

I am having the same problem but it is definitely not MobileMe as I am not using it. I use a direct connection sync, they are my own calendars, and still will not allow it. I can see in the iCal preferences on the MacBook Pro a spot to allow editing, but it is greyed out, requiring me to sign up for for MobileMe - which I do not need.
I should be able to sync it directly and still be able to edit on the individual items.

I am having the same problem. I can create personal events on ical on my macbook but I cannot edit them from my ipod touch. I've been using ical on my macbook and ipod touch for years so it's not that I simply do not know where the edit button is. It shows me the details but there is no edit button. I can onyl edit events i create on my ipod. Also, when I do create events on my ipod, the editing page shows me event name/location, start/end, repeat, alert, URL, notes, and that is it. I cannot choose which of my calendars I want to put it in, which is extremely frustrating because right now they are all going into my personally created "birthdays" calendar. I can edit these from my macbook but not being able to edit them on my ipod is a big problem.

Help?

Michael Morgan1, this looks more like a royal edict than a solution or even a proposed solution.

It is 2013-02-07 and I have the same problem in iOS 6. If there's no way for me to delete a calendar item - regardless of the reason - then it's a bug by definition, and this appears to be a bug that no one has been assigned. Sorry this isn't a solution either but at least it's more like a rebellion than a royal edict. Hopefully it will motivate someone to assign this bug to someone who can fix it.
