I have a MS Word document I want to use on the iPad I just got. The document I want to use is password protected, and I would like to maintain that protection when editing the document on the iPad. Which, if any of the existing iPad Word Processors will let me keep that password protection?
I found several Word Processors/software suites, but I haven't really picked one yet beacuse of this issue. The descriptions in the store don't say how they handle password protected Word docs. What I'm looking for is anyone who has experience with password protected docs in iPad apps like Pages, Documents to go, etc. Or if anyone who has one of these apps can create a password protected Word doc, and see what happens when they try to open and save it on the iPad.
Pages cannot handle a password-protected document. According to Dataviz, Documents To Go for iOS supports the following types of password-protected files:
Word 97, 98, 2000, 2001, X, XP, 2003, 2004
Excel 97, 98, 2000, 2001, X, XP, 2003, 2004
