Strange phantom typing sounds?

I bought a MacBook a few days ago..
This has happened two or three times now. I've been browsing the internet on Safari, and all of a sudden, I hear typing playing out through my speakers. It's as if I'm speaking to someone on a microphone and can hear them typing - but that's all I hear, just typing, nothing else.

I just reset Safari and it stopped.. starting to seriously freak me out now, wondering what this is.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6)

Hi,

Check System Preferences / Universal Access.

You can access System Preferences from the Apple () menu (top left in your screen), or from your Applications folder. There should be a System Preferences icon in the Dock (bottom of your screen) by default also.

Check the Hearing and Keyboard tabs. Might be something enabled there that shouldn't be.

The System Preferences icon looks like this.

Under the Hearing tab, none of the boxes are checked.
Under Keyboard, sticky keys and slow keys are off.

Only boxes checked under that tab are 'Beep when a modifier key is set', 'Display pressed keys on screen' and 'Use click key sounds'.

Doesn't seem to be anything turned on that shouldn't be.

That might be it, but I haven't had it happen since I made this post.

Thing is, I stopped typing to listen to it. The patterns changed, it occasionally stopped, etc.
Was just like listening to someone typing, it was really strange.

Maybe it was something to do with the site I was on, because thinking about it, I was always on there whenever I heard it.
