New MacBook Pro...New iPod Problems!

Two Questions..

1. How can I get my iTunes Library from my old PC (Windows XP) to my MacBook? I tried to get it from my iPod to my MacBook, but then it just tried to wipe out my iPod. I know I can burn all my music to CDs but is there an easier way?

2. I updated my iPod Touch to the new software and now it does not work as well. It's super slow and freezes a lot. I think it's a 2nd generation. Should I restore it and start over? It also got all screwed up when I tried to update my iTunes on my Pro. Now it won't even play music!

Please help! I don't want to mess up my Pro or my iPod!

Sync everything onto the iPod after restore and plug it into the macbook pro, it will ask you if you want to transfer everything into the new library click 'yes' Once it is transferring you will notice it creates a backup of the iPod as well (contacts, accounts, game info etc...) Once this is done the iPod would have successfully put everything onto your new Mac

~cheers~
