front row not keeping place

When I view a movie in my iTunes library in Front Row, it offers to resumes playing. If I say yes it instead resumes at the place I last viewed it directly in iTunes. Even if that is not the same place as FR. So FR itself actually doesn't do the remembering, even though it pretends to do that.
And of course in FR there is no mouse so you have to scroll through with the up down keys! I wonder why Apple offered such buggy software. It looks nice but isn't really usable. In the end you have to use iTunes instead anyway.
Anyone know a fix for that?
