iPhone 4 not popping up in iTunes after upgrading to Snow Leopard

I up graded to Snow Leopard two weeks ago and when I try to sync my two iPhone 4s they do not come up in iTunes. I have to re-install iTunes every time I want to sync my iPhones. After I reinstall iTunes, the iPhones come up and sync normally.
Anyone have ideas as to why this is happening?
