"RAD ingest" solution

So I recently had the problem outlined in these other posts I found with Google:

I can't reply to those topics because they're archived so I thought I'd share the solution so anyone else googling the problem can find it.

I found out personally that the problem is with the project thatI had open called Capture.fcp. If I open a new project or open any other .fcp project, the Log and Transfer comes up every time—and quickly (unlike the broken, blank RAD ingest window which sometimes doesn't come up at all and can't be closed without Quitting FCP).

I found this out when I deleted my prefs using Preference Manager, A fresh start in Final Cut didn't open my last used project (Capture.fcp) and Log and Capture came up on a new project, but even with clean prefs, Log and Capture didn't work when Capture.fcp was open and active.

I restore my preferences to where they were an hour before, same story. A new project works, and Capture.fcp won't let me launch Log and Transfer and instead slowly launches the broken "RAD ingest" window. Capture.fcp is an old project I use a lot, updated over years and most likely has some sort of corruption in it.

Also for anyone who upgraded to FCP 6.5 (oops I mean 7), yes this is a FCP6/FCS2 issue.
