Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 -family pack

I am using a macbook pro 13' (sept. of this year)
At the moment the DVD Installation that comes with mac isn't with me, it's in my sister home.
This is why I bought the snow Leopard in the apple store.

I just bought the mac os x snow leopard and I am trying to make a clean installation .. but i Can't!

I did the same as this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eazd4AB1fXw

With the dvd inserted, when I turn on the mac I press the Alt key and appears the MAC OS X Install DVD.The next step should be the language setup, but it isn't. Appears this error:

You need to restart your computer.Hold down the Power button until it turns off, then press the power button again.

I made a video to see exactly what is happening:

I really need help. I guess it was a waste of money.. or no??

If you have access to another Mac you could start your computer in Target Disk Mode (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/8443.html) and use the other Mac to install OS X on your computer. At the end of the install the other computer should boot off of your Mac, use Software Update to update your Mac to the latest OS. Once complete shut everything down and disconnect the firewire cable between the computers and you should be good to go.

I believe that they are trying to tell you that if the disc you bought does not have v 10.6.3 or newer on it, you are most likely not going to have a fully working install on your machine, if it installs at all. The computer came with 10.6.3 and presumably needs at least that version to support all the hardware in it. an older version of the OS may not have the support files for some of your hardware. If it is critical hardware, the computer won't boot. If it is trivial hardware, the computer will boot, but the hardware won't work until you update...
