"Lock" icon with arrow around it

What's the new little "lock with an arrow around it" icon that's now appearing at the top of all my screens now (to the left of the battery percentage)? I just noticed it the other day. I don't have a passcode set and when I did set one to test it, this icon didn't change at all. Just bugging me that I dont' know what it's for..thanks.
