iMac Repair

Hi, my imac 27' needs to be restored but ive misplaced my restore discs. Is there any way for me to restore it without the discs or do i need them? Also does anyone know if Apple Care would replace my discs? My service is still active.

Welcome to the forums,

Apple Care phone support should be able to order you replacement disks. http://www.apple.com/support/contact/ They'll probable charge you for new disks; because applecare doesn't cover lost or stolen items. When I ordered replacement disk from applecare, they were much cheaper then buying retails disks. I think I payed like 60 bucks; but that was a while ago.

Alternatively if you own a 10.5 copy of Mac OS X; you could purchase an upgrade 10.6 for like 30 dollars from an retailer or the apple online store.

Why do you think your computer needs to be restore? what's going on with it?
