Ipad says not charging on docking station

When I dock my Ipad into the docking station from Apple, it says not charging but I can tell it is charging very slowly. I am using the power adapter to charge, not USB power. Is there something I need to reset? I have no idea why it might not be getting enough power.

Ipad, Windows 7

Hi and welcome.....

it says not charging

See this article. iPad: Charging the battery

Note Some USB 2.0 ports and accessories do not provide enough power to charge iPad. When this occurs the message "Not Charging" appears in the status bar next to the battery icon.

Connect the dock to an electrical outlet using the iPad 10W USB Power Adapter (included with your iPad) to charge the iPad battery.

Try a different USB port also on your PC.
