If the version you download is the same as what you have, it looks like you must have the latest version already. You know your version numbers, so you already looked at it? To make sure, highlight the application in the Applications Folder while in list view and look at the right column - it will tell you the version. I even downloaded it on mine, but the installer didn't show the version and I didn't want to install it, so I couldn't tell.
So, basically, I wouldn't worry about it; people make way too much out of updates - the fact is: as long as the application works well, it is not absolutely necessary to update. Updates are important if the application either doesn't work or you've updated your Snow Leopard for instance - then other applications might have to be updated. But, as long as everything works, it's fine and nothing to worry about.
Which brings me to the next thing: just how many maintenance and similar applications do you have??? If you have 10, you have 9 too many. We've talked about that before. You don't need MacKeeper. But, as long as it's not causing a problem, I guess it's ok - just don't run all those things all the time. The Mac OS takes pretty much care of itself.
Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
