Bluetooth not working - iPad not discoverable

Hiya,

I've had no joy on the apple support web site so i thought i would try here. I was given my iPad as a present in December and it works fine, apart from when i try to discover other bluetooth devices, or other devices have tried to find mine.

I turn on the bluetooth on my iPad, and it says it is discoverable, but I have tried discovering it on 2 separate Bluetooth enabled phones, to no avail (Both devices were also set to 'discoverable themselves, in case you ask!)

The bluetooth icon in greyed out, which should mean that bluetooth is on, but nothing is connected, but I can't get anything to connect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

I'm having the same problem, which is aggravating as I have downloaded an app (Scrabble Tile Rack) that supposedly allows you to pair up an ipad with ipods/iphones via blue tooth.

Judging by the comments to the app, for some people it works and others it is working without a glitch.

Does this mean it was possible to connect ipods/ipads/iphones before, but now no longer is? If so, why was the feature taken away?
