How to Put Music Purchased on my iPhone onto my iPad?

Hello All,

I am unable to put the music that I purchased on my iPhone (that has been synced to my iTunes) onto my iPad. Is this typical? How can I get my purchased music onto my iPad?

You should be able to - as you've transferred the purchases onto your computer you should then be able to sync them to your iPad. Have you got any purchases made on the actual computer, and/or ripped CDs, that you are able to sync to both devices i.e. is it just iPhone purchased music that you can't sync ?

1. connect your device and right-click or control-click your iPhone in the iTunes Source list, then choose +transfer purchases+ from the shortcut menu that appears.

2. disconnect iPhone and connect iPad. select the content to be synced and initiate a sync.

It is only music that I have purchased on my iPhone that I cannot sync. Everything else works fine.
