Replies in mail (gmail) don't show up in inbox

I just got a new iPad and configured gmail through the mail app.

It's really neat though I have one problem. Whenever I reply to someone it sends the mail and shows up in sent mail which is fine.

However, the reply doesn't show up in inbox so I don't know whether I replied to a particular mail without checking in sent mail.

Any solutions for that?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.

It is not completely clear what you are asking...the message to which you replied should have a little curved arrow on the left side of the listing in the inbox. Is that what you are asking about?

Also noticed that in Settings > Mail > Always Bcc Myself you can set to ON and get a copy automatically to each reply.

You can group emails, in fact, with iOS 4.2.1 the email should start grouping email threads as sub-inboxes...annoys ME sometimes to have to switch to those sub categories, but does keep things neater.

You can also set up folders, and more is availabe:

http://support.apple.com/manuals/ where you can download the iPad user guide, or better yet, iBooks > Store and download the user guide directly to the iPad for free. I use that regularly because it is always with me, the iPad and user guide 🙂

Here is some info, though not too helpful I am afraid:

+gmail is set up differently than regular email, with organizing emails. So when I look at it on my phone all the emails come in seperately instead of coming in as conversations as they do on my desktop+

Does gmail have a help/discussion support like Apple's? They might have suggestions for you.
