This morning........I have an Iphone 4 and my wife has a Iphone 3GS running OS 4.2.1. This morning my alarm went off 7 minutes late on my Iphone 4 set to wake me up at 0700. On the Iphone 4 I had set the recurring alarm setting for every day. As for my wife's Iphone, her 3GS alarm was set for 0600 but it never went off. She is now late to work by over an hour. It appears that both the Iphone 4 and the Iphone 3GS are having the same alarm issues. Both our alarms were set from scratch last night prior to going to bed they were not old saved alarm settings. Can Apple provide any fixes for this issue soon? As for now I cannot rely on the this working for tomorrow's alarm!

Apple said this should only be affecting the newer iPhones, and should work Jan. 3. Well, I'm on an older iPhone, but current OS (4.2.1), and it is Jan. 3 and my alarm did not work this morning. So this problem is more widespread than they think. I really don't need a recurring alarm ... I only need a rare one-off alarm, but when I do need one of those I really NEED it. Apple, please figure out why the glitch and do a genuine fix, not a workaround of setting to be recurring. I do love the product so won't be changing phones, just fix the glitch.

As of this morning, January 3rd, eastern standard time, the alarm on my iphone 4 did not go off. I do not understand the "repeat" solution that is being recommended. There is no repeat in my edit; I can only click on each day I want the alarm to ring. If I only check Monday through Friday, will it work or do I need to check all days?

Four new iphone4's for Christmas. Not only will they not sync on my 3 year old iMac running Tiger 10.4.11 (although apparently they work with old windows OS such as XP.) but the alarm failed to go off on two of them this morning. This caused my daughter to miss her ferry. This is the same clock app. that is on the ipod touch and has always worked. I had no doubt it would work on the Iphone.
I had been so happy with mac after switching from a PC I started singing its praises. Got two neighbours to buy macs. One good friend to buy his daughter an Macbook Pro. I bought my daughter an Macbook Pro for university. Had my sister buy an iMac and 3 Macbook pros for her kids and this is how Mac treats loyal customers. I can't use my new Macintosh product with a 3 year old iMac. Give me a break! Now I'm singing different tune and its not an itune because my 15 year old can't download songs to her iPone which wont wake her up.
