Safari 5 renaming downloaded files

Safari 5 renaming downloaded files

I havinf some problems w/Safari (5.0.3) downloading files and/or attachments. Safari will download the file but then renames it w/the following:

=?UTF-8?B?RVNQX0RPTUFJTl9NT0RFTF9EZWNlbWJlcl8yMDEwLUZPUi1MQVlPVVQuZG9jeA==?=

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Hi,

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Appearance tab.

Click the pop up menu next to: Default encoding

Select: Western (ISO Latin 1)

Quit Safari (Command + Q) Relaunch Safari.

Hi Carolyn,

Thank you for the tip. It fixed everything except for one instance which I believe is isolated to an internal pm tool we use at work. Now I have to get IT out here to take a look at it.
