How can I listen to my iTunes music on my IPAD without a wireless signal?
I have an ipad, version 4.2.1. Why can't I listen to the itunes songs I put into the ipad when I don't have a wireless signal? I can't advance past the "itunes store" screen. I synced it to my iMac, running 10.6.5. All the songs are there. I do not have wireless at home, nor do I plan on getting it. Is there a way to listen to my itunes music in Airplane mode? Also, at my job at a middle school, the ipad is much worse at finding our wireless signal than our Macbooks are. Any ideas?
Hi: It sounds as though you are accessing the iTunes App as opposed to the iPod App on your iPad. All music is played from within the iPod function. The iTunes App takes you to the iTunes store.
iTunes application on your computer does everything.
It's for the iTunes store as well as playing songs, movies, aduiobooks, etc.
iTunes app on the iPad is for the iTunes store only.
iPod app on the iPad is for playing songs and audiobooks.
Video app on the iPad is for Movies, TV Shows, music videos.
Thank you for answering such a "newbie" question. Since I don't have an ipod, it didn't occur to me to use that...I always listen to my music with ITunes. By the way, do you have this answer? Is "Back to my Mac" free, or is it $99 after the trial period? I saw several opinions on this in the Forum.
Much obliged...Tod
