OH guy Level 1 Level 1
My Bluetooth keyboard was apparently continuously entering the "wrong" passcode for my iPad while being carried in my backpack. Now the ipad screen reads "iPad Disabled -- Connect to iTunes." I am at the opposite end of the country from my home computer and won't be home for six days, during which time I need my iPad! Is there no way to unlock the device other than syncing it to the iTunes on the computer it was originally synced to? I know the correct password. Obviously I don't want to lose everything on the iPad, which I gather would occur if I did a restore from scratch on a different computer. Can the local apple store help?

Unfortunately, you're stuck. IF there was a solution for you, a thief could also use that solution to continue to try new passwords.

The following knowledge base article says you can unlock with another computer, but you will loose the information on the iPad when you do so.http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212Otherwise, the only option is the computer you last used to sync.

Xtremely silly feature as I just found out. Someone in the office has just locked my Ipad on purpose, and now has rendered it useless until I get home and sync the Itunes at home so I don't lose the data... I was really surprised with this "feature" Imagine if you were away overseas/ on assignment...

I'd prefer the thief to get locked out every 30min...

    So frustrating!

Hope this is changed in the future...
