Can I Buy A Specific iBook for Someone Else's iPad

I have an iTunes account and got my granddaughter an iPad for Christmas. If there anyway I can buy specific apps or specific iBooks and have them sent to her iPad using my iTunes account. I want them to be surprises and would rather not use gift certificates.

You can gift Apps to someone but not iBooks yet.

Hi Bill,
Yes, you can "gift" apps, music, videos, and (I believe) books straight from iTunes. Apple has a knowledge base article with the details ( http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2736).... look near the bottom at the section titled: "Send Music, Videos, Audiobooks, and Apps as Gifts"

Hi there. I tried but the gift option did not appear, thus I have a couple of kids songs that I own but cannot transfer. Cheers Depdale

You can't transfer content that you've bought from your account to a different account (they are tied to your account), you can only gift content (music, audiobooks, apps, and videos) from within the store
