Looking for ATI Radeon HD 5770 drivers

Hello, I am a new user. I recently replaced my old 7300 GT with a ATI Radeon HD 5770 card but I miss the neccessary drivers. They wasn't part of the "Graphic Card Upgrade" I received for my Mac Pro 1,1. I looked on ATI / AMD site and they don't have them. Someone told me that the "Snow Leopard Graphics Update" would help but I have installed the latest version.

Any help much appreciated

MacPro1,1, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

Part of 10.6.5.

There are almost never standalone drivers, and only 'retail' cards have sometimes had drivers hosted on AMD/nVidia.

Great. Thanks for a fast reply.

I just wonder, though. Looking under "Apple - About this Mac - More info - Graphics/Displays" everything seems OK, but if I look under PCI-card in the same dialogue box it says "Driver installed: No"!!! How come? Do any one know why?

I'm having a similar problem. Installed the 5770 and updated all to 10.6.6 but the system does not recognize HDMI/Display port audio.

Did you resolve your issue?

Some monitors come with a CD to enable using MDP out.

if your having any problems with mini displayport output and running 10.6.6 then you might ought to try this:

My second monitor wasn't working with the mini displayport until I installed this firmware update. I still can't change the background from the default for the second monitor but everything else seems to work perfectly.
