May 1, 2011 2:33 AM in response to ettoreruggeriby Richard from Madrid,Hi all. Same problem here: I purchased TomTom Western Europe app, downloaded all purchases to my Mac via Itunes, then uninstalled TomTom by error (stupid iTunes doesn't let me manually choose which apps to install without syncronizing, so it deleted all my apps from my iPhone), then restoring them and TomTom was the only not able to be restored. Same error: 0xE8000004. The only thing left for me is downloading again from App Store. Looks like a bug. Maybe the fact that the app is more than 2 GB (2.03 GB actually).
iPhone 4 16 GB - 8GB free space.

May 27, 2011 12:41 PM in response to Richard from Madridby Kereltje,Had the same problem myself with some apps. First thing I tried was to switch of my firewall (zonealarm) that helped for all but one of the apps.
I reloaded that app from the applestore (you will not have to pay it again, It will tell you you can downlaod a free upgrade).and the tried to sync with the phone again... succes!!!
Hope this helps...

Oct 10, 2013 2:47 PM in response to ettoreruggeriby c.marchantbullen,hi there,
Right for all you guys that have this 0xE8000004 problem i have a solution and it worked for my apps that wouldnt sync onto my ipod. i dont know if this is legal but it probably is but im not 100% sure but it worked. so i downloaded a program called IFunBox (which you can get from here.... http://www.i-funbox.com/) download it and once you have it open it and click IFunBox classic at the top left. make sure your device is plugged into your PC and click on it down the left side screen and it will show you some things on ur device now look for the little green symbol saying install app top middle ish. click that and it will ask for you to find the app you want to install onto your device. find the .ipa file you want to install eg. templerun2.ipa. click it and it will start installing. the ipa files should be found under C:\Users\(User name)\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications.
I hope that helps all you people out with this problem.
have only tried this on my ipod touch 4th gen so if this doesnt work for anyone else my apologise but it worked for me and i hate problems so i thought i might share this with everyone. =-)
