1TB HDD in new Unibody MBP 15

Hey all.

I just picked up a new MBP 15" yesterday, and have a question re the HDD.

Is it possible to install a 1TB HDD?

I'm familiar with the process (assuming it's a similar job to the 13" MBP), but after extensive Googling I'm getting mixed messages... some say 1TB drives are 12.5mm deep, yet the MacBook Pro can only accomodate 9.5mm, is this correct?

Whatever the case may be, if it's possible, could anyone recommend a particular HDD that has been successfully installed in the current MBP 15".

Also, on a somewhat related note; is there a way to clone my BootCamp partition to drop onto the new drive a la CCCloner? I usually use Carbon Copy Cloner when upgrading my HDD (or having to format) and it's such a great, easy process but I've often wondered if the same can be done for a BootCamp partition.

Many thanks

Officially, MBPs can only use drives up to 9.5mm high. In actual fact, 12.5mm drives fit and work just fine in all unibody MBPs and in 17" pre-unibody MBPs. Each of the currently available 1TB 2.5" notebook drives has been reported to work in MBPS by at least one poster here.

Thanks for the reply, very helpful.

One more thing, having done a bit of research into the various drives available, I can't seem to find a 1TB drive with 7200RPM? Do these not exist yet?

With that in mind, I may consider a slightly smaller drive as there seems to be a good number of slightly lower capacity drives with a 7200 spin speed.
