Mac App Store - No Credit Card

Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how the **** I'm supposed to accept the new T&C of the Mac App Store without a credit card. I do not and will not own a credit card but the option to select 'None' is not present in the Mac App Store.

Any Help? D:

iMac11,2, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

I have read every reaction on this post and nobody came with an answer. I had exactly the same problem and I really found a solution. I even called apple with my problem, but that wasn't very helpful. This is a solution for people who want to keep using their normal email adress on their Apple ID, but they also want to change their account in a NON CREDITCARD account. It worked for me.

The solution is:

- Create a new email adress, for example at gmail.

- You can change your existing account information at myinfo.apple.com.

- You need to change your old primary email adress into your new, just created, email adress. This way you can keep your old email adress for a new apple ID WITHOUT CREDITCARD

- After changing your apple ID's primary email adress you can create a new account with your OLD EMAIL ADRESS following the steps already given by so many posters here.http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534

I believe this really is a solution to your problem, I hope it works.

PS. I'm sorry if my perhaps poor English bothers you.

Good luck!

!The Big Answer!

If you are using an already created account, like me! then when you enter those details into a New Ipad, it will not give you the none option for credit card.

Create a New ID, then the step that asks for credit card details, you can click the card, and the list will show none at the bottom.

Remember this wont work on exiting account, unless the existing account was created with the none option.

Try it.

Have fun!

If you already a have an iTunes account, you don't need to create a new account. And you don't need to create a new account just because you have a new iPad.

Create a New ID

Then you can have iTunes purcahses from more than one account to keep track of?

No thanks.

It works on my existing account, which was not created with the "none option" (whatever that is).

Apple, fix this. My kids are mad at you... and me 🙂

So am I. Apple fan boys must be so ******** that they do not understand that the buyer and the payer can be different persons. My son buys and I pay. This itunes/app store concept is epic fail. There should be option to pay when buy without connetion to buyers (downloaders) apple id.

Now they offering ridiculous solution: create account with cc and then remove cc information. LOL

You can purchase and gift the app/music to someone else.

Why not simply create an account without a CC?

I ran into this problem today. Apple locked me out of my account and made me change my password to a more secure one. Then I was forced to update my cc info with a non-expired one, which was more of a hassle than anything else. Wouldn't you lose all your purchase history if you opened a new account and then swapped emails?

Gift cards are definitely not the way to go. If someone hacks your account and buys every Celine Dion album then you would have better luck getting your money back from the cc company then apple. Do they even have cc's where the cardholder is responsible for fraudulent charges? Oh right, they're called gift cards.

You could have simply set the CC info to None and made sure your address is correct. You do not need to keep your CC in fo on yoru account.

No. Your purchase history is linked to your iTunes ID.

If you create a new account, there will not be a purchase history (since nothing has been purchased with this new account).

Well No, Guess i forgot to mention i'm just trying to change region as it defaulted back to US or something instead of Putting it to Canada... And also Once told me my Account Information was incomplete and requested a CC Info...

EDIT: The None info is definately not there when doing "Change Region" But stays there if i keep it to US, Yet since i don't live there, i don't have a valid US Address... thus Disallowing me to get anything.
