After connecting the iPad to the mac and opening iTunes (10.1.1), I went to the app tab and scrolled down to file sharing. I copied some files to various apps and synced. No problem. I can delete those files from within the apps in most, but not all cases.

For example, I copied some .pdfs to the Pages app section in file sharing. It turns out that Pages can't read .pdfs so they don't show up in the app (so you can't delete them via the app). However, the .pdfs are still in the file sharing section of itunes under Pages. You can't drag them to the trash. You can't delete them with the edit menu. How do you get rid of them?
