I am looking for a fix for my toshiba I see there are lots of people with this problem, was just wondering if there's something to fix it with yet? I found a download on toshiba's site downloaded it, but it tell me it's not compatible with my drive. But my computer is listed in the compatible one's for this download. I am not good with computer's and see that you are talking about using another drive, can someone explain?

Okay ... that's got the most common cause of the 2131 ruled out on your system. Updating from the Rev TO01 to Rev TO02 firmware usually fixes it for folks with a manufacturer-installed TS-L632H on a Toshiba PC. (As per the link polydorus supplied for the other person in this topic.)
We'd better check your other Toshiba-supplied drivers and so forth. (Driver/firmware/BIOS/hardware interactions can also cause burning issues.)
Pick your operating system and check to make sure you're up to date on the drivers and firmware updates available for your configuration and also check to make sure you're up to date on your BIOS.
If you were behind on anything, and you update, does that help with your 2131?
Thanks so much Sam, the error code download fix did not work my drive was not compatible....but thanks to you I went to the Toshiba downloads found the driver I needed to update and installed it. My burner works great! Thanks again. I now know where to go when I need help.
