App download hangs indefinately.
I am running 10.6.7.
Cleaned out library files as recommended. Installed combo over exsisting 10.6.7.
Mac App store loads fine but will not download.
Specifically, When you choose to purchase, a spinning 'gear' starts at the top of the window header bar and continues to run. I have left it running for 30 minutes at times wondering if its a traffic glitch at the server.
Internet connection via Airport and via Ethernet cable has same results.
Logging off and on makes no difference.
Itunes store works perfectly.
sorry to jump into you thread but I have searched the net the entire weekend and have tried to find an answer.
I have the exact same experience. Tell me if you ever found out an answer
Hi Adam,
you might want to follow this thread I started.

I tried the terminal paste from here and everything else from other threads. I am actually online with apple right now and have been trading emails today with a support guy but hes stuck on the idea I am in Itunes and trying to get iOS apps.
I have tried to see if I have any conflicts like jerry had but I am running only native Apple software except for using Mozzila FF over safari with add ons disabled. I spent much of last weekend on it and many hours this week.
Its not so much I NEED MAC apps but I hate when my hardware is not functioning as it should.
For sure I will let you know if I find a solution.
Here's the deal. You need to update iTunes first from ver 10 to ver 10.5. Once you do that, the App Store works perfectly. Simple!
I am also having a problem with the App Store not working. It just does not do anything when I choose "Install." This is the Mac App store, not the iTunes/iPad/iTouch stuff, which works just fine. I have had it work before, but not recently. All my software is up to date and I have a long-standing account.
same problem here... nothing works... iTunes e MAP don't log in...
